Attend the Thursday, October 22 Alameda County Transportation Commission Meeting
2:00PM at 1111 Broadway, 8th Floor, Oakland
Over the past six months, dozens of community members and NoBigRigs580 volunteers have attended the monthly ACTC meetings, making public comment and voicing concerns about the harms that would result from repealing the existing truck ban. The commission is represented by important decision makers and leaders from the City of Oakland and Alameda County, as well as leaders from BART, AC Transit and other agencies. This summer, five of our Oakland City Councilmembers and one State Senator came forward to announce their support for maintaining the ban (see Who is on Your Side?). With political momentum building, we need to keep pressure on our municipal leaders. Please join us in making a public comment at the upcoming October meeting.
